What do we do when the answers to our prayers see, to come late? How do we respond when God's responses to our cries and prayers seem slow in coming? Many of us tend to point the blame on God when the answers to our prayers seem late. We tend to ask Him "why" the answers don't come, "why" they arrived late, or even "why doesn't He hear us. Actually, we are the ones who should keep praying when the answers to our prayers seem delayed, not God.
Consider Daniel, who experienced such a delay. Here are some things we can learn from his experience:. The enemy, however, seeks to delay or prevent God's response from arriving to us. We then read in the following verse how the enemy prevented Daniel from receiving God's reply in the soonest time possible.
This means there's a war in the heavenlies for the answers to our prayers. To Him years are like days. God answered at the right time. If He would have answered sooner I would have been in deep trouble. God gave Sarah a promise, but guess what? It took a while before He carried out that promise. I believe the greatest blessings in life are the ones that you have been praying over for years.
Usually the longer the wait the greater something becomes. You wait years to graduate and get a diploma. You wait years to get a promotion. God gave her a godly son by the name of Isaac. God chose to continue the line of Christ the Messiah through Isaac. Extraordinary things take time to prepare. There are a plethora of reasons for trials, tribulations, and unanswered prayers. However, who says we have to know? Instead, I believe we should rejoice. One of the greatest blessings of this world as a believer is to realize that we are in the hands of Almighty God.
God is in control and when you rest fully upon Him you will be at peace and you will feel secure. Stop striving to get through this on your own. Stop feeling sorry for yourself.
Delays, even long ones, do not mean that God denies our requests. When we pray, let us not lose heart, but trust the heart of the One who loves us more than we can imagine.
